Rockford Public School is located at 60 Rockford Road (just west of Bathurst Street and Rockford Road). There will be an exceptional line up of speakers including Lillian Freeman, a specialist in psychiatric social work; Wendy Shaw, Chief of Social Work, TDSB; and Dr. Erin Matis, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with her own Private Practice in the Greater Toronto Area. - Since 2006, James has been the Trustee for Ward 5 (York Centre) on the Toronto District School Board. James is Chair of the Audit Committee, Director, Toronto Lands Corporation and Vice Chair of the Special Education Advisory Committee. James has been an advocate for students with special needs, saving TDSB pools, and promoting seniors' programs. James supports the values of parents, students, seniors and teachers. He helped adopt the TDSB genocide curriculum and has been an advocate of expanding our alternative school system. James has written on topics that promote the health, welfare, dignity and financial security of seniors. James has also taught. He received a fully funded two-year Teaching Assistant award at the University of Western Ontario and taught continuing education courses. James is a graduate of Leaside High School. He earned degrees from York University, The University of Western Ontario and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
