Would love to talk to you abotu my experience about this. Although I no longer live in Ontario I could not believe the difficulties we had getting our child the educationt hey needed. Nor the difficulties of countless others.

However we were fortunate as we know how to navigate the system (which is one of the best keep secrets)and didn't have any language or cultural barriers. Those barriers might have made a difficult situation seem almost impossible.

I had a chance meeting with Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, Centre, at First Landing State Park near Norfolk. We had a frank discussion about the upcoming passport requirements between Canada and the United States. I said it would hurt tourism and commerce and he agreed.

Met today with the advocacy team at CARP, Canada's Association for the Fifty-Plus. We talked about adult and continuing education. CARP and I believe that adult education should be accessible, affordable and relevant. Throughout the campaign, I will be talking with seniors in Ward 5 to understand what matters to them. If elected, I will be the voice of seniors on the Toronto District School Board.

Thanks much for your kind words. Actually the Ministry of Transportation is honouring me for be NOMINATED for the Road Safety Achievement Award in the media category for 2005. This is related to my work with Drive Wise, a driver refresher seminar for mature motorists. Rogers Media was the eventual winner.
